Tbf I was pretty happy with this one when I saw it on the Diamond Eyes tour. I’ll have a think though as I’m sure I could swap around a few tracks. Deftones Setlist at O2 Academy Brixton, London
I actually made my ideal setlist a little while ago and I stand by it flowing almost perfectly Hexagram Rapture Knife Party Digital Bath CMND/CTRL Acid Hologram Needles and Pins Entombed Beware Bloody Cape Beauty School Cherry Waves Teenager When Girls Telephone Boys Rx Queen Rosemary Hole in the Earth Gore Sextape Royal Be Quiet and Drive
That’s a great setlist, personally I’d add an Adrenaline track in there. Maybe Bored in the encore or One Weak somewhere in the middle. I’d also have to have Change in there somewhere too.
They seem to average around 15 songs live so i'll go with that number: Diamond Eyes Be Quiet And Drive Minerva You've Seen The Butcher Graphic Nature Leathers Acid Hologram Hole In The Earth Cherry Waves Teenager Entombed Doomed User Knife Prty Change (In The House Of Flies) Sextape Encore: Hexagram Passenger
i think the record it’s on is pretty overrated in the scope of their catalog, but im at the point where i think digital bath is pretty clearly their best song
Digital Bath has one of the most creative drum beats I've ever heard and that song really changed the way I perceived metal music. It got me into this band, which led me to other metal bands from there
his vocal performance in it is also kinda unmatched. the note he hits in the end of the chorus is insane.
the first part of this sentence hurts me but the second part is Very True so I've decided to cancel the lawsuit
It's overrated "in the scope of their discography" because there are people who disregarded everything after that album. However, I think that group has become a smaller minority now and the other albums are getting elevated to the legacy status.
I’ve never encountered anyone who had disregarded everything after WP, not even on SharingLungs. The separation is usually the Chi albums V non-Chi, or if you really want to drill it down, Terry Date V not Terry Date.
you do know there wasnt a real lawsuit right. issa joke I've never heard of anyone disregarding anything after WP. Generally it seems like everyone is all in with this band if theyre a fan, barring the Chi separation mentioned above.
white pony was their commercial peak so a lot of people who like that album didnt keep following them for whatever reason
Except everyone loves Hexagram but yeah, that crowd was like the biggest subset of Dtones fans so they rejected the s/t album for whatever silly reason.
Digital Bath will likely always be my favorite Deftones song, and one of my favorite songs in general. The mood it creates is perfect.
