Just outside my top 20, but it was the one I took off when I realized I forgot Touché! I think this album holds up but I just don't play it very often
Well, I suppose age has nothing to do with it, other than the fact that a 17-year-old kid by definition didn't experience the band's progression in the 90s and 00s. But yeah, I'm with you there.
I haven't been in this thread but man Gore is just beautiful. I listened to it a ton when it first came out and loved it but kinda haven't spun it for a while. I've been getting into it a lot more recently and it's just incredible. The atmosphere they paint on every single song is so beautiful and makes me so emotional. It's becoming one of my favorite records of all time. Although, I love all of their albums. Each one has something that makes me feel pretty strongly.
Lately I can't stop listening to the Woodstock Sessions EP/mini album thing Team Sleep did last year. Chino's vocals are some of the best I've ever heard from him.
I need to go back to that album. Was still pretty burned that they haven't released a new album, and it was pretty much just a live album.
I am such a sucker for live studio sessions. That's beautiful. I need to revisit Team Sleep more often.
I need to listen to that. LOVE the first Team Sleep album and their live shows were some of the best I've ever been to, but I kind of missed out on the Woodstock Sessions for some reason.
In a more Deftones related list, someone on the Deftones subreddit made a thread asking what our ideal 21 song set would look like. I'm actually kind of proud of this one haha, I think it flows really well Hexagram Rapture Knife Prty Digital Bath CMND/CTRL Acid Hologram Needles and Pins Entombed Beware Bloody Cape Beauty School Cherry Waves Teenager When Girls Telephone Boys Rx Queen Rosemary Hole In The Earth Gore Sextape Royal Be Quiet and Drive
This being my fav band I realized it was strange I don't own any merch from them. Granted I have a tattoo of them, but still. Fiance bought me two dope shirts for xmas. shall post pics later.
I've been the same way but with vinyl. Have a couple shirts, but I never had any vinyl from them after all this time so I got Diamond Eyes for Christmas and now I am happy
I bought one years ago and never bought another after that, considered it many times but my idea is always one of I am a big enough fan that I really don't need any merch. everyone I know already knows I love them
I need Adrenaline, Around the Fur, B-Sides & Rarities, and Saturday Night Wrist in order to complete their catalog on vinyl. My record buying has really slowed down in the past couple of years though. Had to get Gore though, it was too pretty.
Only one their self-titled, Gore, and B-Sides & Rarities. Been meaning to get the rest at some point.
Wembley 2003 show with new, remastered audio "I want everybody to have a good time but I don't want a bunch of knuckleheads who think they gotta fuckin' surf on the crowd like some 1993 sorry ass fuckin' Pearl Jam video. Fuck that shit..."
I had never listened to any of Chino's side projects, saw this and decided to listen and wow... will definitely be checking more Team Sleep later!
dude Team Sleep is amazing! Definitely check out their self-titled. Also, I would check our Crosses after that.
Crosses is fantastic, might be my favorite of his side projects. I should have loved Palms since I'm a big Isis fan, but they didn't do much for me. ††† (Crosses) - YouTube
Enjoy a lot of Crosses, but some of it is also just ok. I think I would rank Deftones side projects as: Team Sleep Crosses Sol Invicto Palms
