They haven't played a gig for almost a month and a half so I'd be surprised if they didn't change their setlist at least a bit.
Their shows look pretty good from the full concert vids I've seen on YouTube. The most recent full set that went up in like June was okay. They felt off, but I'm not really worried. I just hope they play 4-5 new songs instead of the 1-2 they were doing earlier this year, even after the album was released.
It still confuses me to this day that so many people consider that record a letdown. I can't get enough of it.
Yeah I'm listening to it now and it's really good. Granted, it's in the bottom half of their discography for me, but that speaks more to how strong this band's discography is than the album itself.
Eeeeeeeeeek! :D It might be a pipe dream, but if they play Phantom Bride I'm gonna explode Now I just have to go the next five days without spoiling anything else for myself! Actually, could anybody in here wanting to talk about the setlist use the spoiler tags? I'd hate to avoid this thread all week haha.
I've honestly never heard of anybody trying to avoid seeing setlists. Just recently in the Thrice thread is the first time I ever noticed anybody requesting spoiler tags be used for setlists. Interesting outlook though.
Ok, setlist spoilers then: (L)MIRL, Gore and Acid Hologram were all played for the first time last night. Kimdracula was also played for the first time since 2011
Wow. I mean, I'm excited for them to play anything from SNW. BUT, I'm bummed if that means they're dropping What Happened to You?
I spoiled the whole setlist for myself because I'm weak and couldn't contain my excitement any longer haha. Great additions from Gore and holy shit at Kimdracula and Beauty School. That setlist looks so good.
Being there, I will say that Kimdracula doesn't really make for a great opening song. I think it would have fit better mid-set.
Yeah, I don't really think of it as an opening song. I'd imagine they prefer to play it nearish the start though, simply because it's quite a challenging track to sing live - there's a lot of variance with mid-range vocals, high vocals, falsetto and some aggressive stuff too (and often a mix of these close together) that I don't think Chino would want to have to sing it near the end of a set. It sounds pretty dang cool though. Chino nailing the high notes like a boss.
