I figured I'd post this in here. I've watched this show from 2015 a small handful of times so far this year and I still think it's pretty great.
I was really fortunate in that I got to see them three times last year, and something about this one was incredibly special for me compared to the other two. I happened to be around a very excited group of mostly first-timers who were absolutely losing their minds when they were about to go on, and they managed to stoke my anticipation even further. Watching it on YouTube, I can see and hear all the mistakes and weird moments that inevitably come up, but in person, this show was flawless.
So over the weekend I had a chance to listen to the first four albums followed by Gore during a long drive... the mix on Gore is painful. Everything is super hi-pitched and grating. I couldn't believe the difference. Still need to listen to it on vinyl where I am sure it's better but still. I hope it gets the Studio Collection treatment down the line.
I hope that at this point, it's kind of all or nothing for them. Leave no man behind kinda thing, especially after Chi's passing
Yeah, I think if any of the remaining members left the band, they would need to hang it up. They all add such distinct qualities to the band's sound, it would feel wrong to go on without them.
Yeah they would end it if Stef left. If Sergio left it's possible they'd continue but there's no way they'd go on if Chino, Abe, Stef or Frank left. Anyway, he won't leave so there's nothing to worry about.
I posted this a month back I think. In that Kerrang! article they talk about how Crenshaw Punch was a AtF b side. Which makes total sense why I love it so much. I'm really surprised they didn't include it actually now thinking of it. I always assumed it was a cover since it was on the rarities album, and I had never known of it's existence previously.
It's a shame that it wasn't on the album Then again, I don't know if it would fit or where you might put it in the tracklisting.
