I've always thought of Chino as being one of the best lyricists in all of music, at least ATF-S/T. Might just be me
Totally agree. The imagery he invokes without being specific is captivating. One of my favorite parts of the band.
Another interesting thing about that Karrang! article was how they mention Crenshaw Punch is a b side from ATF. I always thought it was a cover.
I'm glad this leaked less than a week before the release date. I think I might actually be able to resist.
The 'leak' is a vinyl rip so if you're going to listen to it, it's not at all the proper studio quality, even if it's good for this sort of rip. If you really want optimum sound quality, don't listen. The album's SERIOUSLY good though. The last four songs especially are absolutely wonderful. I've listened to it three times and it's growing more and more. AOTY so far.
At the moment, probably Phantom Bride or Rubicon. That will change though. I've been on the edge of tears more than once listening to the record.
Still on Geometric Headdress; had to grab some headphones. I'm very excited for it though. Seems to be the favorite. Would you say it's their best closer?
I don't know, they have some phenomenal closers! Let's just say it's a pretty decent way to end the album
