I go back and forth between ATF and Self-Titled. ATF is a no-skip, solid album and also really influenced me as a young musician. S/T, on the other hand, I think set the basis for the rest of their career and has incredible tracks
Revisiting Adrenaline at the moment and even though most of the record still doesn't really move me and it blends together a lot, Birthmark remains such a ripper. That riff is an all timer
Always amuses me how much Elite and Engine No. 9 sound alike. Both have very similar riffs and structures
It's so so good. I always loved how Fist showed early on there was a lot more under the surface. Fireal too, to an extent.
I find myself playing Combat a few times anytime I revisit SNW. That little part at 3:57 always floors me.
Self titled is so good. Good Morning Beautiful and Bloody Cape in particular are just absolute masterclasses in everything this band is good at.
Decided to do a discography run this week too. Did Adrenaline and ATF during my workout tonight. Taking me back to high school
Okay, I’m also having a weird Mandela moment. Is the version of Headup on Spotify slightly different than the original release? I don’t recall Headup having an extended outro. I thought there was a fade-out? Am I going crazy?
Speaking of which, it's 2025. Can we get Damone and MX separately on streaming services? I straight up bought FLAC files of the full 37 minute MX just to cut it up for my Apple Music.
What I always remembered is that, but it fades out slowly while that’s happening. But I heard today the outro play completely. Unless I’m misremembering?
Got in the mood to listen to an album so I chose self-titled, and Hexagram, Minerva, Deathblow, and Battle-Axe just do it for me. Such a great band for that "beautiful heaviness" vibe.
I've listened to Rubicon four or five times today. That lead guitar in the chorus still knocks me over.
I didn't know they were working with him again. As someone who probably has KNY as their favorite, this is amazing. Didn't they come out and say that Nick was super passive during their session for that one though, like he was distracted by bigger artists and wasn't putting 100% into their record?
i dont get much mileage out of the two nick albums but theyre both like half great. first 5 for me all the way altho ohms was neat also saw them early this year and they sounded a lot better than i was expecting which has me more keen for this than id be otherwise. also helps its got a wild tracklist lmao
I really wish Terry would produce all of their albums. He knows how to capture their sound perfectly.
