Curious as to what the rest of the lineup will be

They're both great alternative bands that dig each other. Makes perfect sense.

 

Exactly. It's not like Deftones are doing shows with Jack Johnson. Weezer has plenty of heavy-leaning songs to play

 

Admittedly I am biased in this regard because I "got to" see Weezer only once about a decade back and it was the lamest show I've ever attended. Dishonourable mention to Panic! at the Disco for butchering Queen in the opening slot as well.

 

I saw Weezer with The Smashing Pumpkins in June, and given the popularity of SP and Deftones with Gen Z, this matchup feels strangely harmonious to me.

 

But cheese smells so good on a burnt piece of lamb.

 

This was my thought too. Weezer and Deftones are two bands that have gotten traction with Gen Z the past few years, so while weird, does make sense.

I think a SP/Deftones tour would just print money tho. That should’ve happened yesterday

Abe's performance on that cover is what got me into drums. He's just so fucking cool.

Consequence.net claimed that Deftones played Rosemary with the album outro at Dia de los deftones, I had to look it up and they didn't. That outro is probably my favorite by them, it is such ambiance bliss with just the synth and guitar

 

Lots of Weezer talk and not enough High Vis recognition tbh

 

The best part about wearing masks to shows for a while was being able to confidently mouth along to songs that I had a questionable lyrical knowledge of lol

 

I can see Pinkerton being too cringe lyrically at points (I still love it for being their most vulnerable album) but Blue Album still fucks I don’t care what anyone says
