I don't know what I'd say is similar. It started with the same guitar feedback as Prayers/Triangles, with a very driving rhythm initially and then a kind of half time feel. 6/8 time signature, more up tempo. The big vocal moment is actually on the pre-chorus. That distinctive vocal delay that Chino used a lot on Gore sounded particularly good.
Absolute dickhead move from the guy who screenshotted it. Chino literally asked for it not to be shared. Way to make him stop broadcasting on there.
Didn’t they say they would stop being a band if Sergio wasn’t a part of it anymore because they wouldn’t be interested in a new bassist? Maybe I’m misremembering
Ooof didn’t know that. Yeah that’s wack… that guy was posting a ton about the Sergio rumors last week, seems like a clout chaser honestly.
Man I thought something was up. Got a ton of broadcast notifications from him. That really sucks if there is bad blood between them.
Oh that's a real shame. I didn't know he still wasn't officially recognised as a member. That would rankle with me over time too. His work particularly on Koi No Yokan and Ohms was a really cool extra layer to those records.
My unsolicited opinion: I love the band, but this seems like a fucked up situation if Sergio's account of events is accurate. Sergio was simply on contract throughout 14 years and four full length releases? While I suppose he isn't owed anything, that's gross and I don't blame him for being disgruntled and leaving. I'll always treasure Sergio's basslines on "Swerve City", "Error", and "Headless" to only name a few. I am worried about the future of the band.
Yeah if you're collaborating/writing songs with them throughout the whole process, performing, doing interviews, appearing in photoshoots, everything that comes with being in band, then at some point he should've been written in. I understand not doing that on Diamond Eyes and KNY when Chi was still alive but you'd think that from Gore on he should've been a member. Just improving the contract each time is not fully respecting his contribution. Two sides of the story and all that - maybe there are other aspects - but I can't think of a different context which wouldn't make at least that part of it strange. Left early last year?
this is weird as shit. they won't make Sergio an official member after 14 years but Stef just gets a pass on all his dumbass flat-earther conspiracy theory bullshit? come the fuck on
