I think he switches it up, most of them he uses one foot but the double kicks in say, Rickets, are fast enough that you can't really get equal volume out of the hits without the double pedal

 

Didn't realize Rickets had double kick in it, but I'll have to re-listen to it because I can't remember off the top of my head

 

Wait, there is a double kick roll in there that. Again, though, it's something you can play with just one foot. It's called the heel/toe method.

Aaron Harris has been Abe’s drum tech in the past if I’m not mistaken.

 

Harris is a part of both Isis and Palms. I was confusing him with Turner for a sec.
