Baltimore show moved to MGM National Casino: http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/1...-%20TM&utm_medium=affiliate&irgwc=1#efeat4211
Deftones as a dad-rock band. It sounds terrible but it does make a lot of sense. They do share a lot of fans with Jane's Addiction and Faith no More.
It's about the same capacity, 4,000. Big difference is Pier Six is a small amphitheater with all seats (no pit) and lawn and the casino is a brand new venue with mostly GA and a balcony.
I'm so conflicted about this announcement... I'm going to be in Bend July 6th-9th, but that means either driving 4 hours each way twice in one week or staying an extra two nights over 4th of July when room prices are going to be ridiculous. I don't think I can justify the cost primarily for Thrice as an opener :(
So according to amazon new rise against album is called wolves out June 9th which is the Chicago date of their tour.
I'd assume they will. As much as "play deadbolt!" has become a joke to the band and their fans, the song still slays live, esp with that extended ending.
they didnt play it last year on their headlining tour well at least not the first leg. the 2nd leg i think they did
Yeah I caught their 2nd leg. The first leg they played In Years To Come instead. I'd assume that since they are doing an opening slot for heavier/punk bands they'd stick in Deadbolt for that crowd.
I just put in for Brooklyn tickets. I'm going to see if I can pull off a back to back with this show and the Pvris show!
Deftones have been playing "Back to School", "Korea", "Street Carp", "Minus Blindfold", and "Teething" over in Europe. Can't wait to see them play some old school jams this summer!
Chicago, House of Vans will be sending out notifications to the ballot winners tomorrow from 11am to 2pm local time. Keep an eye out and see you tomorrow night!
Based on this being a co-headliner, do ppl think we could expect Deftones to be playing a set just as long as Rise Against's? (Speaking specifically about nights where Deftones plays first) I'm looking at these setlists for the Gore tour over in Europe and I just don't think I could handle not experiencing something similar.
yeah i'd imagine so. even the big co-headliner tours with huge bands i've seen it's the same length for each band no matter whose on first (a weird sight seeing NIN play in daylight/sunset)
