but yes, and i don't think the songs lengths are to the record's detriment either. starting out shorter and building to longer might do well in garnering the listener's attention.
Man, Stef really had a rough go of it. Sounds like he was on the verge of death at one point but he's really turned it around.
hoping the record is more KNY than DE, if we’re comparing Nick records, but really honestly hoping it’s its own thing entirely (and better than both!).
hopping into the new song rn, hope actually hearing it will dismantle the unfortunate association in my head the title gives me with that i am a mountain coldplay song from last year lmao
new song is great! the nick era has never been my favorite from the band but this feels like a nice balance between the best attributes of that and the best attributes of ohms. i guess my only complaint is that it doesnt really sound like an opener to me, like at all lmao, but we'll see what context does for that also while im a big fan of ohms, i def thought chinos vox were the weak link of that album, and he generally sounds better here which is encouraging
This rules. Feels like Ohms but with that atmosphere that Nick brought to KNY. So happy they are still together and making sick music after all these years.
Can't remember the last time I saw them do a whole band interview, so very much enjoyed this new Zane Lowe one. Stef finding out the real song titles and not the placeholders was funny. And it's sweet to hear him really compliment Chino.
Great single. Kinda left me wanting more but I have a feeling track 2 is a heavy banger like the transition from Diamond Eyes to Royal. Love how layered this gets and coupled with those ultra thick guitars, this is why I immediately thought of Hum when the teaser came out. Chino's shouty delivery gives it an urgent feel as well. Wonder if a music video is coming later, I was naively expecting one so I feel blue balled.
