    Well, it's a self-fulfilling prophecy

Diamond weirdly reminds me of Only In Dreams by Weezer

Whoever’s idea it was to not include Crest on Gore:

Just finished the Ohms stuff too. Not anything mind-blowing, but it’s interesting hearing the songs in their original state before they refined anything.

Really, the only notable differences between it and the finished product is the mixing and some arrangements, but the two that stuck out to me were:

-Radiant City (FKA: Vien Meter) features different vocals/lyrics in the bridge

-Ohms (FKA: Posthumous) is far more synth/keyboard heavy and also has an extra verse added

Also, Rain is a really cool song. I’m curious as to why they scrapped it. Would’ve fit the album pretty well imo

Listened to Eros, and my feeling is that this would have been great if finished, but unlike Paper Kingdom which satisfied a need I didn't know existed, this just makes me want to listen to more Deftones.

Which is a roundabout way of saying I kind of get why they never finished it? It doesn't feel dramatically different from what they did anyway, and plus the emotional baggage.

I do find it interesting how far along these songs really were though in terms of how the band seemed to think most of it was pretty incomplete. Feels like that says more about the band and how long they probably work on crafting each song rather than a commentary on the songs themselves.

There is a satisfaction of finally getting to hear the songs, but also a yearn of wanting more. Most of them you can definitely tell mixing wasn’t completed, so I can’t help but wish we could hear a polished version down the line (but at this point, I doubt it’ll happen)

Also is Briana/Dallas the song with Kurt Travis on vocals? Definitely doesn’t sound like Chino singing the “she’s running out again” part

that's what i've heard. also heard some people say there might be uncredited backing vocals from Mike Shinoda on Destiny

Whew, Candy is a SONG. Someone said it reminded them of Digital Bath and I couldn't agree more.

It would be great if they released a rarity comp and dropped stuff they have deep in their archives. I’d bet they’re sitting on gold
