I am growing to really love this new one but at first it kept throwing me off when they would rehash a riff or vocal melody right now infinite source is probably my favorite song on the album so damn good
im happy seeing lots of feiticeira love since i feel like that one gets a lil overlooked in the goat white pony tracks debate. personally its arguably my favorite tones opener. not as cathartic a start as hexagram or my own summer but it makes up for it with some of the most dazzling melodies of their whole career. that FIIIIIIIIIIRST UNTIIIIIIIE MEEEEE UNTIIIIIE MEEE FOR NOOOOW is so golden
Always have loved Feiticiera but when I saw them at Metro in Chicago last year and they opened with it the way everyone in my immediate vicinity popped off as soon as Abe hit that intro fill cemented it as an all time fav forever
I adore "Diamond Eyes" (Carpenter's guitar sounds like a fucking chainsaw) but I think it's gotta be "Hole in the Earth" for me. Just a perfect balance between riffage and spaciness
I think my favorite opener is probably Hexagram, just fucking launches right out of the gate. Although Swerve City is pretty good for that too. And? What's that got to do with whether it's a good song or not? Not a thing.
I have heard Feiticeira thousands of times, and yet just thinking about it right now is getting me excited. That's how outrageously good it is.
It’s just why it feels to different from the rest of the album. That’s all. Not calling it a bad track
First play through completed on a run today. Some great moments here, but nothing as stand out as Madonna. That track sure is something. Excited to dive into this more this week.
Ok, so I had THE perfect experience with this so I’m sure that colors my feeling about the record (with friends who hadn’t heard it, substances, Deftones tequila), but imma couple times through and I feel like this is top 3-5 Deftones easy
Infinite source is an easy stand out, and it makes sense why i've seen so much hype for it already on tiktok even though it isn't a single
I've spent the whole weekend with this and this is my favorite Deftones record. Prior to Ohms, I was more of a casual "I like a handful of songs" on each album, but this one has no skips for me. Just incredibly enjoyable from the jump and makes me feel a multitude of emotions, the most important is the feeling of just disappearing into the atmosphere and vibe. A true culmination of everything I enjoy about Deftones.
It’s the third single! edit: or at least it’s supposed to be. It got an official video on YouTube while the others got visualizers.
1. Koi No Yokan 2. White Pony 3. Diamond Eyes 4. Private Music 5. S/T 6. ATF 7. Ohms 8. Saturday Night Wrist 9. Adrenaline 10. Gore Currently where I’m at
Souvenir is growing on me big time today it was one of two songs I wasn't so sure about. I think about you all the time is hopefully next
sorry about the triple post but yeah I think this whole thing might work for me now. it's been quite a few albums since I could say that
Late but the whole problem with Back to School isn't really the song itself but the fact they put it as the opener after the album was done. If it had been a bonus track at the end it would have been fine, it's still a fun song. Just feels less necessary than everything else on White Pony, which obviously it would with its circumstances.
