Not that anyone would be surprised by this but this is a great Abe album, Ecdysis and Cut Hands are two of his hardest grooves

 

I haven't had as enjoyable a first listen of an album as the one I had last night in a long time.

I've been awake for three hours this morning and I still haven't spun it a second time. I'm too busy enjoying the dizzy daze of the first.

Having a Deftones listening party at my house Saturday. Very stoked

 

best they've sounded since Koi imo! loving this!

 

How much does the bass stand out? Curious to find out what Fred brought to the mix

 

After a few listens, instinctively feels like their best since KNY and very much reminiscent of it, only with the tighter numbers of DE. Pleasantly surprised after mostly not loving Ohms.

 

Waiting until Friday to blast it.

Gorgeous album. The little moments and effects do so much. Abe is killing it.

 

Did anyone else briefly think they had a guest vocalist at the start of departing the body?

 

I am always impressed with what this band has to offer. It's crazy they still have all this creativity in them 10 albums deep.

 

Some great stuff here
