If you go on their subreddit, the first post has the cover art. Not posting it here because I don't know how to spoiler photos on this forum.
Well they dropped Smile randomly and that was an Eros track. Not at all saying they will but the title made me think of Eros. Due to the fact supposedly the only thing we know about it is most of the track titles are named after females.
No I'm pretty sure it hadn't really been mixed. Chino just uploaded the version he had available onto YouTube.
Ya'll. I hate to change the subject for just a second, but if you love Deftones/Thrice/Alternative metal in general, check out the new double album by Vexes called Imagine What We Could Destroy /// If Only Given Time. It dropped today and it's incredible.
That track called "Daisy Forgive Me" is out in New Zealand with a VPN since the release date is tomorrow. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but... it's not a real Deftones song. Looks like some random person somehow uploaded a track to streaming services under Deftones' name. Sounds like a slightly modified version of the instrumental for Loathe's "Two-Way Mirror" in poor quality... with a producer tag and someone talking over it at the beginning (lol)
If it's any consolation @LightWithoutHeat, I've always suspected a proper studio version of Finger Of Death wouldn't have matched up to that one. I reckon they were still trying things out with it at that stage and and Chino was probably still experimenting a little on the melodies and words; it just happens that those really odd, haunting, almost anti-melody note choices, and the unhuman screaming in the breakdown, gives the song this extra untamed feeling that really hits. I imagine some of that feel would have been ironed out by the time they finished it. The song title itself feels very much like a placeholder.
wow 2 years already? This album is still so good. Have bee spinning my vinyl copy non stop this month
