Lotion to me is super heavy and aggressive. I don't know, it's hard to objectively define their "heaviest".
Hexagram is v heavy but there’s also a brightness (for lack of better wording) to that verse riff and more melody to it to boot, whereas to me there is no real release from the tension of WGTB and that’s part of what makes that song feel so colossally heavy to me when I am listening. Chino’s delivery is totally unchained and the mood is pure doom and gloom. idk I am really struggling to think of anything that’s heavier than it in their discography, at least in the particular way in which it is heavy.
that's fair. I always thought the melodicness of "Hexagram"'s riff made Chino just ripping his vocal cords out feel even heavier - the contrast of that song is crazy. but like someone said earlier heavy is hard to define
As a song I don't think it is but that main riff is definitely in close proximity to their very heaviest stuff.
The end of Bloody Cape is probably their most outright savage moment, but heaviest song overall is probably WGTB or Elite.
If that's true, I guess that basically confirms This Place is Death is a LOST reference and not just a conincidence.
Anyone gotten the notification that their pre-order has shipped yet lol? I'm getting impatient, hopefully soon!
I haven't replayed a single this much since Rocket States tbh. I don't remember what else was released from Diamond Eyes as it leaked early though.
