chino i think does drop c through DE but then turns into a dumbass and keeps drop c but drops the low c to a#, which makes zero theoretical sense

 

Wtf? So he can play some of the low root notes and just keeps the octaves on his 5th and 3rd strings?

 

it truly makes no sense lol. he makes it work though I guess

 

Chino becoming a king of alternate tunings, hope he uses a new one again

Finally listening to Self-Titled and Deathblow is really good, huh?

 

This album is really weird and dark, I love it. When Girls Telephone Boys and Lucky You are such good songs.

 

I am really jealous of you hearing this album for the first time.

 

I think I read somewhere Chino is a big fan of The Cure? I can definitely hear it.

This is a B-Side that didn't make the album because they ran out of time. IMO it's a top tier Deftones song:

 

Lovers is so fucking good it’s insane.

 

It's probably my favorite vocal performance by Chino. Everyone is on point on it though. I'd give anything for a fully mastered version of it.

 

they're hyping up how heavy the next single will be that if the next one isn't straight up murder blood meshuggah riffs I'm gonna inevitably be disappointed

Never heard Lovers before now, and damn, it's sick.

 

doing a first (maybe second??) discography run today, I'm noticeably enjoying Diamond Eyes more than Around the Fur/White Pony

 

guess we get the new single next week since we haven't heard anything yet
