Elite is one of Abe’s very best kick/snare rhythms, very simple relative to the business of the riff but the groove is monstrous. And of course Terry Date’s elite drum tones take it v far as well

i debated including mein bc i love 95% of the song but decided serj’s appearance ruined it enough to not be top 32

not trying to start anything, but I am floored by the folks picking "Leathers" over "Minerva"

Entombed is the best on KNY by quite a bit, then Rosemary, then Poltergeist/WHTY?/Goon Squad in some order

oh yeah "beware" is in my top three deftones songs (i have no idea what my top three deftones songs are)

my favorite outro of theirs by a pretty wide margin. honorable mention to phantom bride!

 

This band has way too many good outros, but yeah Phantom Bride and Bloody Cape come to mind immediately.

 

I hope they recorded a cover or two for this album. They haven't done that since DE I don't think.

 

yeah, i mean, i left some of my faves off. tried to go with some aspect of which songs are actually big, like a regular bracket would

 

Man, Abe's drum fill on the post-chorus of Moana. Abe might be my favorite drummer ever.

it is not. i tried to be somewhat objective. digital bath is my fave.

 

I love how Abe adds feeling to the song with his kick patterns, rather than following the guitar lockstep like a ton of heavy bands do. His build up kick pattern on Needles and Pins is an awesome example of this.
