I'm really excited for this, but it seems like a lot of people have kind of lost interest in these guys. McCauley is one of my favorite voices and songwriters, and the fact that he finally took a little time between albums and the seems to have cleaned up his act a bit has me hopeful that this one will be a bit more focused.
Both albums streaming Deer Tick share their two new albums, Deer Tick Vol. 1 and Deer Tick Vol. 2: Stream
Both albums are solid. I'm surprised how much I enjoyed Vol 2 as I usually prefer their more acoustic side, but they do both sounds so well.
These guys have a new album out this Friday. Listened to each of the new songs released so far and they were all pretty solid but this one really stood out to me.
The new remaster of Divine Providence sounds great to me. I am very excited that they decided to remaster the bonus tracks as well, because I really like about 60% of this album and don't care for the other 40% much at all, but the bonus tracks from that era are really great. The full-band acoustic alternate versions of a bunch of songs are really cool too.
For whatever reason I just completely skipped checking it out when it first released, despite being a big fan of these guys. When I finally did get around to it I was kicking myself because it's a great album.
