There hasn't been a good shark movie in a long time.

Laughed at the Warner Brothers Home Entertainment. This is going to be terrible.

haha seems a little too late but I'm in. The first one was so much fun and Sam Jackson had my favorite surprise main character death ever (besides maybe Affleck in Smoking Aces).

I showed this to my students and they just shrugged. The new generation is a waste of time.

It even looks like that first guy dies the same way stellan skarsgards character dies in the first one haha

Does this take place at the same facility as the first? Maybe it was reopened? It looks familiar

It isn't even trying to hide how the story beats are lifted from the first film. It is really more of a remake than a sequel. Hopefully that means we get a rap music video tie-in as well.

Instead of joyride, a character refers to the sharks as going for a "joyswim". This is a disaster.

To show off the shark training the billionaire owner pushes the IT guy into the water. In the next shot, he is 30 feet from the dock which leads to the dramatic chase.

The owner takes a shot of the medicine and his eyes start flashing charts of chemical compounds in black and green like the intro to Breaking Bad. This is wild.

The worst part of the movie is that the sharks you expect are barely in it. Instead most people are killed by baby sharks you can barely see.
