@kyle opening track on that one makes me want to punch life in the face

 

The man is one of the most underrated drummers out there right now, dude just kills it every time.

 

I don't know, you guys. This one I really don't get. I'm trying though, especially after Anthony F antano over at TheNeedleDrop gave this album a rare 9/10.

 

DG is kind of a big deal - and dude's work in Hella made him a name

I thought this guy was only a meme? does people actually consider this guy's opinion for anything...

Bubbles Buried In The Jungle makes me just want to go out and punch life in the face.

 

"Spikes" is so fucking catchy. The whole album is just ear candy yet so aggressive and heavy.

i think this is definitely their best record, kinda harkens back to poppier leanings in The Money Store, short songs so it is accessible but still DG at its core. that said, i think The Powers That B is definitely the most like, "Death Grips" record, but Bottomless Pit is my favorite Death Grips record, doesn't get tiring halfway through for me like the others. good stuff.

 

still think they haven't beat money pit but this is definitely #2.

spikes, warping, eh, trash, houdini, ring a bell are all top notch

MC Ride is becoming one of my favorite lyricists. Dude makes some very deep, dense, literary and historical references throughout the DG catalog in addition to some great metaphors.

Listened to this today and still loving it. Probably my second favorite DG, after Powers That B.

 

The fun for me is trying to figure out what the fuck Ride is on about.

i'm mostly here for the catchy one liners that stick out. anything beyond that and he loses me completely.

 

Ya this band makes some crazy ear worms

 

the line "two letter text, translation, next" always stands out to me for some reason. maybe has to do w the delivery, really well done.
