Northern Lights is honestly one of their better songs

 

God I love that album.

 

Man, it's been a LONG time since I watched Directions. I remember my favorite video being for the bonus track, Talking Like Turnstiles, where the guy gets chased around the venue. Gonna try and tune in for that.

I've gotten into vinyl recently and I don't know whether I want Plans or Narrow Stairs more. I give the edge to NS only because the tones on that album are godly.

Well, I guess we know what the consensus least favorite is

 

Pretty sure Ben Gibbard also dislikes "Someday You Will Be Loved."

 

I like it better than different names tbh

 

I think in the past he called it “mean” and his least favorite song he’s ever written, haha. However, he played it back in May during his daily live-streams and said something like “I’m not sure why we don’t play this one more”

 

I couldn’t choose a least favorite song. Maybe my favorite is between brothers on a hotel bed or what sara said

While Different Names remains near the bottom of my list, that 2min mark through the ending is pretty damn unique. I remember first listening to it and just thinking "how the fuck does someone think of that?"

 

Different Names is cool as hell.

 

I put Different Names towards the bottom but I still think it’s a great song

 

Love what Different Names turns into, might be top five for me

but Brothers on a Hotel Bed and What Sarah Said are easily top two. And Someday You Will Be Loved is my least favorite.

 

Stable song and different names are my least favorite.
