60 And Punk is still the best song but for some reason they played it in the middle of the set when it worked so well as an album closer

Lauren Mayberry came out tonight to perform Northern Lights. It was pretty awesome.

 

I was hoping that would happen in New York but oh well glad you got it

Did a Death Cab cover set last night that was a ton of fun as part of a DCFC/Pixies/Fleetwood Mac bill for Halloween. We stuck to the "classic" era:

TIL, though, it’s “year-old magazines” and not “yellowed magazines.” Same sentiment but I always thought “yellowed” was such a rad image.

Northern Lights is such a great song

 

Wow that performance of Soul Meets Body was beautiful. Awesome to breathe new life into a song I've grown tired of over the last 12 years.

 

Yeah that just inspired me to get off my lazy butt and learn "What Sarah Said" on piano. Just so pretty and hypnotizing.

 

This is still on my bucket list.

 

If you have time to practice, you can do it. Youtube videos are the easiest/quickest way to learn, there's always some kind soul out there that will post a lesson to almost any song you can think of, and there was a few up for that song.

 

haha i just told my SO i want to get back to learning piano just to learn DCFC and Sufjan Steven songs.

i'll probably learn Different Names and Sarah Said first.
