Been on a massive DCFC kick and man, Kintsugi is so good. The latter half of that album doesn’t get enough love.

 

This is better than their past couple, for me, but I still don’t find it very compelling. Second half >> but it’s all pretty safe

 

After one listen this is just...boring. I don't know, there's really nothing that's sticking out to me. There's maybe three songs on here I'd revisit, those being Your Hurricane/Summer Years/60 & Punk. 60 & Punk is definitely the best on here but I still don't think it lands in the top tier of DCFC songs

 

Yep, 60s and Punk is the best song on here but it’s still nothing special. I don’t get why he almost always uses vocal effects when his voice is clearly still fine as is

 

Listening now. I think I like "I Dreamt We Spoke" even less than I remember. I looove "Summer Years" though.

 

I think "Gold Rush" could be a good song but I don't like what they've done with it much at all. It sounds much better when it's just Ben and an acoustic.

 

I think Gold Rush is the worst song on here.

I do too. That and "I Dreamt We Spoke" are the two I don't really like. The rest is solid with "Summer Years" being easily the best song for me.

 

"Your Hurricane". Good lord.

 

Wow, Summer Years and Your Hurricane are both amazing. I get early DCFC vibes from both.

 

Those were the standouts for me too.

 

Perfect album to listen to on this rainy day.

 

I still can't pull myself away from Foxing to try this, and I don't want to be distracted bc I am worried I may dismiss it. I'm sure come Friday I will be ready to give this my full attention though.

 

Just finished my first listen. I really enjoyed this. The only song that didn't do too much for me was "When We Drive"." I've also grown tired of "I Dreamt We Spoke" but I enjoyed it when it first came out.

 

Easily their best since plans. Gold rush could have been a lot better and some of the songs in thr middle of side 2 aren't there for me yet, but wow overall, great work

 

I’m really happy I held off on listening to I Dreamt We Spoke and Autumn Love. Death Cab has yet to let me down.

 

Love that closer, wow.

 

i liked this but not a ton stuck. i blame new foxing for being too good. ill give it a few more listens later.

 

Really enjoying this record.

this whole thing has a great bright vibe I feel good

You Moved Away reminds me of Your New Twin Sized Bed, it's that kinda storytelling, I like it. The bridge is really beautiful. This might be my favorite so far
