Well I have listened to Transatlanticism a few times, and I always enjoy it. I'm just not very familiar with it. Like I can't really tell you what song is what or remember a lot of it except a few. But I will for sure give you updates! And I do still have to listen to the Photo Album.

Transatlanticism is one of those albums where every time I listen to it I'm blown away by how good it is.

I only listen to Transatlanticism in the fall/winter, or if it's raining. It is a phenomenal record tho

Transatlanticism is one of my top 10 records of all time. Maybe top five.

Same. For some reason I always think I'll outgrow it or something, but every time I go back it I'm blown away.

  6. This sounds melodramatic but I wouldn't be the person I am today without Transatlanticism

Has this world stopped asking what it's thinking?

I had no idea there was so much friction with Chris. But like Ben keeps saying, he (and we, the fans) should be thankful he stuck out as long as he did. They made such great music together.

That was a good read, learned a lot about the band. Also I didn't realize Ben quit drinking a while ago.

I’ve been waiting for him to do one of those features. Love all the insight. And especially all about the Facts love

I never knew Chris almost quit a few times. Sounds like it was mostly a creative/professional relationship between him and the rest of the band.

i remember reading that a long time ago, i always think about it when it's playing. i'm always thinking, it can't be that bad, right? i guess i hadn't interpreted the tone correctly.

I think of it as sad and apologetic rather than mean. It feels like an attempt to comfort someone the narrator cares about but doesn't see a future with.

Tiny Vessels feels a lot meaner than that

Yeah but it's also a way better song.

Also I'm glad he realises how insane 2003 was for him.

The way he talked about emo in that really turned me off. Pretentious much?

Yeah that bit sounded a bit hipster and pretentious for sure.

Otherwise that was a pretty good interview. Wish he spoke more about Kintsugi though, feels like he glossed over that record a bit.
