Autumn Love is the best of the three but it still feels like nothing more than a throwaway Death Cab song. Expectations for this album are extremely low unfortunately

 

What an odd tune Autumn Love is. Starts off sounding like you’re about to get serenaded by The Rankin Family, but is definitively DCFC by the first verse. And then kinda goes nowhere.

Really not sure what to expect from this album but nothing so far is even as good as the highs of Kintsugi.

 

The highs on Kintsugi are really damn good though. I’ve held off on the two most recent singles but Gold Rush has grown on me quite a bit.

 

I won't stand for this negativity anymore, Autumn Love is a great song!

I dunno, this band can just never put out a bad album for me. Codes & Keys is my least favorite but even that one I still enjoy quite a bit.

 

I like all the songs. They're all mid-ish-level Death Cab which I'm more than content to put on.

Ahhhhh Your Hurricane sounds so good.

 

Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the best on the album. Sounds straight off of the first few records.

 

I didn't listen to the new songs until yesterday, but I've been listening to them a ton since then. I really really love Autumn Love, and I Dreamt We Spoke Again is really great too. Gold Rush is my least favorite. I'm a pretty casual Death Cab fan, so I always think it's interesting to see bigger fan's reactions. I also always forget that I really do like this band. I need to try to dive in a little deeper to their full albums. I only really know Narrow Stairs front to back (not even Transatlanticism).

 

Haven't listened to any of the new songs yet - Going to wait until the album release and hear it all as it should be heard

Yea I will. I have a feeling I'm about to be on a kick. I do have an impression of all of the albums already though, just based on the few songs from each that I do know.
