OK, so I really didn't understand what you were saying until right now. When you said best since Plans, and it was the immediate album after plans, I thought that was a weird way to say it. But now I get it, and I also agree (obviously)

 

Narrow Stairs took years to click with me but it's definitely one of their best.

 

Adore Narrow Stairs.

 

narrow stairs pretty clearly the best post-plans. i even like it more than plans some days haha. it really feels like ben wanted to make a Can record.

 

Narrow Stairs is also my favorite post Plans. I thought that was a pretty common opinion.

 

Doors Unlocked and Opened is really underrated

 

Narrow Stairs is my favorite post Plans but I don't think it touches any of the albums before it.

 

I listened to Codes and Keys in full for the first time in years today and wow is this record is highly underrated.

It’s way better than I remembered. Honestly, this band has never put out a bad record ever. Some are just better than others. I personally enjoy all their records post- Plans.

 

Incredible song.

 

“Stay Young, Go Dancing” is such a beautiful but equally sad song since it’s about Zoey and that relationship ended badly.

the early albums that I dont like or listen to and I don't know them from each other

 

i'm always surprised that you don't care for The Photo Album. It's very unlike Airplanes and Facts imo.

 

We Have the Facts is so good, what the fuck

 

We Have the Facts is tied with Transatlanticism for best DCFC album.

 

At this point DC could release anything good or bad and it's all gravy. When you release 5 albums in a row that are at least 7/10 if not 10s then you get a pass on everything else.

 

Facts is my favorite

 

I've tried so many times with those early albums and I just find them so uneventful and honestly boring

 

I know we all have our opinions and hangups and that's totally cool but I need you to know that this makes me feel like my head is about to explode, still love you

 

We Have The Facts and We're Voting Yes is my second favorite album of all-time, just behind The Moon and Antarctica

 

I don't even like Modest Mouse at all, so we're gonna be on opposite ends here

The top four are interchangeable and Airplanes has some phenomenal tracks but some of my least favorite tracks as well. Kintsugi and The Photo Album could be flipped too. The Photo Album is probably the better album and has some of my favorite Death Cab guitar work but I have more of an emotional connection with Kintsugi.
