Thank You For Today ends up at the bottom for me because of the kind of blah stuff on there. Gold Rush is not blah. I still like the record tho. You Moved Away is underrated
There was that little promo the other day where Dave and ben were asked the longest song in the discog. Host was def incorrect with Possess.
@Serenity Now trying to prove "Gold Rush" is annoying by being extremely annoying. I respect it, to be honest.
Back to discussing the actual album…I’ve listened to this once and the whole time I just felt the distinct absence of Tolzdorf-Larson. He was a needed counter weight to Ben’s voice and guitar work and thus this collection of songs suffers from that same lack of inventive drums and percussion that all their songs have lacked since Tolzdorf-Larson’s departure.
I don't know my Death Cab history very well but are you thinking of the right person? Wiki says Tolzdorf-Larson was only there briefly in 2000.
If you don’t hear the difference, that’s good for you but there are a lot of us DCFC fans who stopped listening when Tolzdorf-Larson left.
Only listened once but this is pretty good. I think I prefer AM, but that album also came out at a moment in my life when I really connected with it. Punching The Flowers, Stone Over Water, Trap Door, and Riptides stood out on my first listen. My divorced buddy is gonna love this.
