I’ve listened to all of their post-Narrow Stairs albums at least once. But I’ve since gone back and revisited them now that these new songs have really captured my interest. Now that I’ve done so, the only one I think I will come back to is Kintsugi. The others just don’t really grab me in a meaningful way.
If any of their albums is underrated, it's Codes and Keys. Some stinkers, but also some of their most interesting experiments (basically the entire first half of the record)
I really love the first half of Kintsugi, some of my favorite material there. Falls off hard in the second half though

Admittedly, I just parachuted in after unexpectedly liking the new songs so I’ll accept the blame for kicking this off.
We definitely have. It's time for me to get mad at @irthesteve for not liking (or maybe even listening to?) the first few albums again
It's like you've completely forgotten about "You Can Do Better Than Me" and "Good Help Is So Hard To Find"!
All of yall are going to make me spin through their discog in the office tomorrow just to post a list. Can’t wait to completely change my mind on everything I just said
To me Death Cab is a lot like Deftones and Radiohead. All of their albums are good to great, but there's an obvious top two and bottom two album from each. Trans Plans Photo Album Narrow Stairs We Have the Facts Asphalt Meadows Kintsugi Thank You For Today Codes & Keys Something About Airplanes
I’m not sure if there should be an award or if I should be banished for never doing an album ranking on Chorus.fm I don’t think there’s any or many bands where it’s concrete enough.
listening to asphalt meadows for the first time in a while and it's not as good as I remember. it was really big for me that summer/fall it came out.
Asphalt Meadows might be bottom two for me if I'm being completely honest. Cool record, but I never reach for it.
