Kept refreshing and was able to get two (had to buy 1 at a time) for the floor 8/10 in Brooklyn which were $99.50 each all in.

 

Oh not bad! There's also a Spotify presale at noon, did anyone get a code for that one yet?

 

In the Chicago waiting room. Only 29,410 people ahead of me. I had no idea Death Cab had gotten so huge.

 

Fuck Ticketmaster with a soft dick. I was at 2000 in line and it's all sold out.

 

It's the 20th for this album. Huge deal for people.

Can't really put all the blame on Ticketmaster. It's a very much anticipated show and they're intentionally doing small venues and few shows. For NY they should've done two nights at Radio City (6k per night) rather than two nights at the Paramount (2.7k per night)

 

Chicago went fast

 

This isn't a small venue. Part of it is that there's like 10 presales.

 

I had 1784 in front of me and struck out. there were two lodge tickets available for $385 after I refreshed but were gone when I tried to add them. kind of insane cost for death cab, can probably get in the building for that day of ha

I need Ticketmaster to be more transparent about how presales work. Like if there are 3 presales and its a 3,000 cap venue, does each presale get 1000 tickets allotted to it? Or is it just a free for all for every seat in the house?

 

Yeah, I'm clearly out of touch. The last time I saw them was touring in support of Narrow Stairs at a 2,300 cap venue that I don't even think was sold out. Haha.

 

Ticketmaster? Transparency? lol.

 

they played 3 nights at the Hollywood bowl in 2023. people love their nostalgia lol

 

Curious, what city was that in? Here in NYC the smallest venue they've played in the last 15 years was a 2,600 theater, but they did 4 nights there in a row and they all sold out. If you include the tour with Postal Service in 2023 they've done arenas 5 times in recent years.

Wait.....it was 2011 at the Pageant in support of Codes and Keys. "It stung like a violent wind / that our memories depend / on a faulty camera in our minds", or something like that someone once sang.

 

Totally depends. Sometimes they just open all the tickets and let it go clean ASAP.

In the past I've noticed that Spotify doesnt email those codes out until like 2 minutes before the presales. I'll circle back if I get one.
Someone on reddit said its "SOCIAL" but I think that is for a Live Nation presale.

 

Spotify code is SUMMERSKIN, but it looks like there were no tickets allotted to this presale lol

I only had 10 people ahead of me in the queue and there was still nothing left.

 

I have four different codes for noon. This is stupid. Let me go back to hanging out with scalpers ripping darts outside of a box office.
