For me, it’s a tie between Asphalt Meadows and Kintsugi as their best work post-Narrow Stairs.

I also love Codes and Keys and would argue it’s one of the most underrated records in their discography personally ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

Codes and Keys is def underrated.

 

I almost want to say it’s their most underrated but I’m not 100% on that yet

 

Probably Something About Airplanes imo but that might have more of a dedicated fanbase with people who prefer their early work. Otherwise, I would definitely say it is

 

Musician friends! It's been a looong time, but we are finally making a new Chorus members compilation! Original songs, this time around. I'm not sure how many of you still follow the official compilation thread on here, so if you don't follow it, but you'd like to submit a track or two to the comp, check the post here and sub to that thread.

 

This is my favorite of theirs since Plans, just ahead of Codes and Keys.

 

Thanks for reminding me to spin this LP. It had been awhile.

 

The first half of Codes & Keys would make a perfect EP. The drumwork on some of those tracks ("Home is a Fire," "Doors Unlocked and Open") is insane.

 

Listened to Asphalt Meadows on my commute home for the first time in a while. Crazy for a band’s 10th album to be this good

 

Local pizza place/arcade plays songs from that album almost every time I go there lol.

 

Rand, Foxglove, Wheat, Fragments are my favorites.

Don’t care for pepper because I’m an old curmudgeon

 

My favorites are Survive, title track, Rand, Foxglove, and Strangers

 

The disrespect to Wheat Like Waves in your posts is a bit too much to take

 

Still do not like "Rand McNally."

Codes and Keys has aged phenomenally. Feels like a way better record now than it did then.

 

C&K and Kintsugi are very underrated in their own rights. Adore both

 

Black Sun is a very good song

 

I have a soft spot for kintsugi and I think a lot of it is very underrated. "No Room in Frame" is easily one of their best songs. i also like all of their albums

 

I think half of codes and keys, Kintsugi, and thank you for today are legitimately great. Asphalt Meadows, to me, is the first album since Narrow Stairs to be pretty much great in its entirety.

 

Yes! been saying this for years! It’s all their first halves for most part too which is funny
