Been going to a lot of hockey games recently and I gotta say, "Oh Canada" kinda washes The Star-Spangled Banner imo

 

US and UK anthems are both quite bad imo (sorry).

Italian anthem is the best by far

All great picks -- and a truly appropriate reaction to Streetwise. Actually revisited Old Joy not too long ago. It gets better the older one gets. Quietly beautiful.

 

Old Joy is a movie I felt like I was rejecting in real time because it’s too fucking relatable. My brain was trying to disassociate. It’s great, I still think about it.

Just made myself a Death Cab playlist and turns out I’m very much into the lter half of their discography. There’s no denying the earlier half has some of their best songs though.

Hottake: Kintsugi might just be favorite album from them.

 

Kintsugi is great but I feel like it falls off in the second half. The first 5 song run though is perfect

 

It's their worst imo and it's not particularly close

Kintsugi is easily the best since Narrow Stairs for me although it's still a big step down from their best.
