played the title track (i.e. from Codes and Keys, not We Have the Facts) in Paris last night so I have no idea what to expect in that slot on Sunday now lol crossing fingers for We Looked Like Giants in there somewhere
Everyone should experience death cab's 8-9 minute live version of we looked like giants with ben on a 2nd set of drums.
Any information about the cancellations? Supposed to be seeing them tomorrow in Manchester and not heard anything as yet *Edit* Now cancelled
wheat like waves is so phenomenal. great combo of the lyrical strength Ben had back in the title & registration days with the splendid piano tone on codes & keys (track). bet he felt good when he locked that one down.
First time listening to this in too long and I still absolutely adore it. A classic death cab album. Can’t believe I was ever lukewarm on the singles, too.
Looks like Death Cab is getting more albums on VMP. Cool variants, too bad I have those records already besides Narrow Stairs. Immediately added that one to the wishlist. https://www.vinylmeplease.com/products/death-cab-for-cutie-bundle?variant=40260360929370
I don't have Facts yet. Might have to spring for that pressing, it looks great. Not going to buy the others again, but the whole collection looks nice.
Me and the wife saw Death Cab's second night in Toronto last night. This is probably the 11th or 12th time seeing them live since 2003. I can say this is DCFC at their best. I've never heard them sound this tight live ever! First time I've seen them where they cut Title and Registration and Photobooth. But I guess that's expected ten albums in... I will say seeing Foxglove Through the Clearcut live gave me chills. One of their best songs ever, I hope it stays a staple in their live set for years to come! 4th time seeing them at the legendary Massey Hall. If there's ever a venue you need to see live music in, this is the one! Arguably one my all time favorite bands ever. (I mean my oldest sons name is Benjamin) Here's a few pics:
Finally seeing them for the first time tomorrow night! The set lists I’ve been seeing from recent shows has my wife and I SO stoked
