Awesome! Thank you for the heads up. We were thinking of staying in Portland for a few days because we will fly in and out of Boston and eventually make a day trip to Bangor (big King fan!) and Acadia National Park. Are there any areas in Portland you recommend or to avoid?
I got lawn seats for the Michigan date but literally watched every seat in the pavilion disappear as I was trying to buy actual seats. Infuriating.
anywhere in the circled area would be ideal to stay. You’d be ~walking distance to the arena and enjoy the “Old Port” which is unquestionably the best area of downtown Portland. It’s a smaller city, and arena, than most realize. there are also cheaper accommodations near the airport I have stayed in. Those hotels are fine for a frequent visitor, but if this is a one-off trip for you guys I would reallllly try and allocate the $$ to stay in the old port area where the arena, restaurants, and bars/shops all are at least for the night of the show. Very walkable, aesthetically pleasing area near the water but limited hotel availability. I’ve had good experience at the Hyatt Place - Old port and AC By Marriott Portland downtown. Fairly easy drive from Boston. There are a few beautiful areas within 15mins to an hour drive of Portland that would make a rental car nice to have. (Portland Head Light, Freeport). You can also easily get up to Bar Harbor/Acadia but that’s a 3 hour drive each way.
I keep refreshing my browser thinking they'd add a second night in NYC. Urghhh I shouldnt be this stressed about something 9 months away but I NEED these tickets!!!
I'm waiting for pre-sale to start in 3 mins. Did ya'll refresh the browser at go time or just wait for clock to tick down?
I used the app, clicked into the event the second my phone hit 10:00 (EST) and was placed in a momentary queue.
With fees, about $95 each for GA Floor in Boston. I think the upper seating might have been $10-15 cheaper but it’s a mid-size venue and not an arena.
I forgot about this until 20 minutes after they went on sale and my work has like the slowest wifi in the world so that didn't help. Prob not what I should spend my money on anyway but I may try again Friday
Floor was a bit too steep in Boston, so I got the third level, front row. I was second row for the postal service tour, so I’m ok being in this boonies the time
Portland maine floor tix were $72 plus fees and “sold out” at 1010ish and I checked again an hr later and they were mysteriously available for $180 plus fees each lol
I got a legit face value GA Floor ticket for MSG (for that 1/2 section they do). I have...NO..idea how I was able to pull that off given all the ticketing shenanigans these days.
