With you on that. Don’t think it’s a return to form at all. Mostly think it’s bad and boring

  8. I definitely enjoyed it upon release but I haven't got back to it like I have Thank You For Today. "Before the Bombs" came on shuffle the other day and those lyrics are rough lol.

I doubt I'll ever listen to any of those songs again. I always forget it exists until someone brings it up on here lol.

They played one or two of them live awhile back and it was insanely good. Super jammy. Forgot which song it was but it really helped me enjoy the EP more.

Never got into the Blue EP. Thought it was just as underwhelming as everything else this band has done since Narrow Stairs

See that’s interesting to me bc the Blue EP sounds more like Narrow Stairs than anything else they’ve done

I remember several songs on Narrow Stairs being immediately more memorable than anything on the Blue EP

But are you like @SpyKi and did you only listen to it once? :eh:

I love narrow stairs and it doesn’t remind me of narrow stairs

I had to go back and see if that Blue EP is so bad - I also have listened to it like maybe 3 times in full! But it is absolutely not bad ;D I'm sure it would hold up pretty well live as well, like it was mentioned above. Not the same level of excitement from me as some of the LPs, but still. Great vibe, good production, nice guitar tones.

This is just a goofy opinion. This is Death Cab not some second-rate band trying to be like them. All their records, even their worst, deserve more than one listen

meh, there's so much music out there I'm probably never going to get to hear everything I want to, I'm at the point where I'm not going to waste my time going back to something if literally nothing jumped out at me as interesting or enjoyable, especially an EP when I rarely ever listen to those in the first place.
