Just got into Sunbather. Really beautiful record.

Damn...won't be getting back from Tanzania until March 16. Looks like I'll be missing this.

 

That's awesome. Never heard of Emma Ruth Rundle until now but I'm already into it.

 

Kinda pissed there's no SAN Diego date. Can't really afford to go to LA all the time.

 

Jealous you saw that though. Had tickets to see that LOG/Anthrax/Deafheaven tour in CT but it was cancelled and not made up.

I've seen Deafheaven twice. The first time was opening for BTBAM in 2014 at The Royale in Boston. I was extremely depressed at the time and stoned out of my mind so I recall about 2% of the show. I do remember vibing hard with it in the moment though.

The second time was about 6 months later, doing a free headlining show at the Sinclair in Cambridge. It was much better, I was stable and up in the front. The experience of them playing most of Sunbather while sharing the mic most of the time was otherworldly.

Anyone know who's playing bass for them on this tour? They had Mike from Russian Circles at their 2 LA shows a couple months back.
