I think the fact that this record is more "metal" than the last one, is what helped me finally get into this band. I wrote them off as noise originally, but once New Bermuda clicked with me, I realized that couldn't have been further from the truth.
Phenomenal seems like a bit of a stretch. Don't get me wrong, I love the band. Just felt like it was extremely underwhelming
i dont think it's underwhelming at all i think it's a great moment but as far as solos go yeah its a standard lick nothing special but pretty cool in the context of the song imo
Baby Blue is probably my favorite song on New Bermuda. The part when George's vocals come back in after the solo gets me every time. I love what the band did with New Bermuda because it is so far from being a carbon copy of Sunbather.
They could have easily made another Dream House, but they didn't. Songwriting is tremendous on both albums, but I love when bands stick to what they want to do.
huh? liking an album because a band did something different than their previous album isnt weird at all
this is still one of my fav live videos ever, i want to see them again so bad even tho i just saw them last fall
Personally, these guys might be the best band making music right now. My favorite song of theirs is From The Kettle to the Coil. That live video @stillbrazy posted above is SICK! Saw these guys a few weeks ago and it was so good. New album + Sunbather & Dream House was their set. They sound exactly like they do on record.
good for them. they deserve all the exposure they can get. most slipknot fans I know are very open minded when it comes to different flavors of metal. just kidding, this is a forest fire in the making.
Not expecting them to be well received, but they weren't very well received when I saw them open for Anthrax/Lamb of God either. Can't wait for them to do another headlining run.
Haven't seen this band yet, but I keep hoping they do one more headlining run before they buckle down for LP4
