First couple minutes I thought it was cool but not really new ground for them, but then the rest of the song was basically just alt rock and I loved it. Thinking this will be a happy record
straight up this song is about to make me cry lol they're really doubling down on everything that made them pariahs and I'm so happy about it
not bad. about what i expected tbh. with that being said, apparently the album is entitled "ordinary corrupt human love" and this is the album cover (via Reddit by way of Shazam): After the album art for Sunbather and New Bermuda (especially New Bermuda), this one is awful IMO.
after new bermuda's art being a rad oil painting, this is disappointing imo. though the album title itself is cool. it's sourced from a graham greene novel.
i'm reluctant to stay sad life beyond is a field a flowers my love is a nervous child lapping from the glowing lagoon of their presence my love is a bulging, blue-faced fool hung from the throat by sunflower stems
Album art matters. Its secondary to the music, but it still absolutely matters. I personally think its cool, partially because its so different for them but people are allowed to not like it. Not sure why ya'll got so hostile so suddenly.
