I like it significantly more than everything on OCHL and wish they would’ve taken this direction

Love that Luna-esque thrash. Though it would be out of place on the album I think.

 

That ripped much harder than I expected both from the comments, and the thought that it was a OCHL b-side. There's no way they intended that to actually be on OCHL; maybe just an great song idea that popped up during the whole process they had to record. But alas, I'm just a guy behind a keyboard.....

I honestly love they chased their shoegaze side on OCHL but I also wish they had more tracks like this on there.

 

Yeah I loved NB, but it was cool to get a more shoe gaze side of them

 

New Bermuda is my favorite Deafheaven record and it's not particularly close. Love this new song because it sounds like it would have been at home on that album.

 

This new song is great. I would be fine with them dropping the “black gaze” label altogether. Black Brick feels cohesive and really works well.

 

This new song is really really good. Sounds like what I expected after New Bermuda.

 

i still don't love this record and it's probably my least favorite of theirs but i'm hoping the songs take on a new life for me when i see them tonight

 

Dream House is glorious live

 

i meant the songs off this, i love dream house and fully anticipate it to take me into another existence

 

Oh duh I got confused cuz of Sunbather’s 6 year anniversary yesterday.

Yeah the new songs rip live - when i saw them with Baroness I think they played two of em

 

I’m seeing them and Bonnaroo and it’s probably a top 3 act I’m excited to see

 

I haven’t come back to this at all but I bet seeing it live would help me appreciate it

 

I’ve been going through a rough time in personally so I’ve been listening to it for a bit.

 

This is my favorite of theirs and still visit it regularly. I’m also not really a heavy/black metal fan

 

their setlist this tour is black brick - honeycomb - canary yellow - dream house. interested to see how it plays out.

I like this one too but never gave it enough time

 

This is my least favorite also, but seeing them live definitely helped it click for me. Great album.
