except for the problems with george's mic/the vocal mix briefly on the first song they sound fucking incredible. especially for a festival, goddamn

 

all the new songs sound great but Brought to the Water holy shit

 

That whole performance was exceptional. What a gift. Whoever is filling in for Shiv on the guitar is doing an incredible job. This era is Deafheaven in their prime!

Need to check it out, for some reason I’ve always conflated them with Local Natives

 

Youth lagoon and perfume genius both put out spectacular albums this year, 2010s indie revival is real

I’m just happy we’ve been blessed with so many great albums this year, and we’re only half way through

That’s the night of my sisters wedding ughhhhh. I already saw them this year but would kill to see them on home turf lol I haven’t seen them in STL since 2015.

Yeah they haven’t played here since literally the week before I moved here in 2018 lol.

Still haven’t seen them ever and I’m so fucking excited. Easily my favorite artist that still tours but I’ve never seen

 

They’re my most seen live band (8 times) and I’m still mad I can’t see them smh
