I went to the show here in Utah lastnight. It was sooo packed! I wish Trauma Ray got to play a little longer. They only had 30 mins. They sounded fantastic though. It was nice skipping the last 2 bands and being able to leave while it was still light outside.
Yeah, this totally sent me on a metal kick. Deafheaven, Metallica, some Black Sabbath. Ripping through Sunbather this morning.
Metal and EDM are my two music genre blind spots... I do like throwing on Them by King Diamond sometimes though.
Really hard for me to say this beats New Bermuda, but it honestly may be getting there. Excellent record.
yeah I agree with how dense it is. I’ve had a run though and I keep thinking I need to get back to it. I need to just buy it on vinyl so I can really take it in
It's so funny, I was trying to tell people what the best run on the album was and I kept expanding it to the point where I just told them to listen to the whole thing. But this is factually correct.
It’s all incredible (I’ll say again: The sequencing on this album is perfect), but Incidental III to Orange Tree is just a launching pad to the stratosphere for me.
Yeah as incredible (and I mean, incredddddible) the rest of the record is, the closing run is the emotional heart of the record
I saw them for the third time last night, and the new stuff sounded fantastic. Though, I'm bummed they're not playing Body Behavior.
if you're the guy I saw at the whole foods this weekend with the deafheaven shirt and said I like your shirt, yo man, sunbather is my jam
