I hope there's some new wave synth inspired stuff on here. That would be dope.

 

Still my favorite Alcest record honestly. Like don’t get me wrong, his blackgaze stuff is legendary and he kills it every record in that vein but Shelter was such a nice change of pace and it’s just so goddamn beautiful. Hopefully Neige will make another record like that someday.

 

I love the last two Alcest albums.

 

The last Alcest record is flawless

 

They are, there isn’t an Alcest record that I don’t like. I just really enjoyed the shift in tone on Shelter.

Both the single and the press release have me very excited. I like their other stuff, but this is the progression I always hoped they'd make.

 

Whoever said Davey Havok was spot on. lol. I really dig this.

Very excited about this. But I for real can’t preorder a record that won’t ship until 2022 most likely. Just a wild way to tie up funds.

 

Different for them, but still good. I liked the ending the most.

 

They changed the vinyl ship date to August so maybe TBD was a place holder.

i prefer kodama but shelter is a very close second

 

new bermuda is my favorite deafheaven album, from the kettle unto the coil and black brick are easily in my top 10 favorite songs of theirs, so its fair to say the darker, heavier side of this band is my favorite aspect, however "great mass of color" is automatically one of their 3 best songs to me. if they pull off this side of their sound this well for the whole album it could easily become my favorite of theirs.

 

Took me a few listens but I'm definitely coming around to it.

I really don't miss them being heavy tbh

 

Love all the Alcest albums but yeah Kodama is just perfect, "Eclosion" is so good

 

Saw a tweet yesterday that the song sounded like Turnover covered AFI. lmaooo

great song and loving the direction for them.

 

The amount of Turnover comparisons is mind blowing this sounds nothing like Turnover lmao.

 

Hard to argue against Kodama so I feel you on that.
