I fucking love this track. I’m happy that Deafheaven took a page out of the Alcest playbook and went full on shoegaze/dream pop.
Also noticed this said that it was under exclusive license to SH, I’m guessing they’re owning the masters on this and are giving SH the exclusive rights to distribute it?
I wonder if the whole record is like this (fine with me if it is) or if it's like when Thursday put out "Magnets" as the first single from ND, one of the songs that was the biggest departure, to send a message that this album is gonna be different
zooming in on the picture disc reveals the album was produced by Justin Meldal-Johnsen. i have high hopes.
