I am so ready to hear this and be blown away

 

Love it. It reminds me more of something like pianos become the teeth than some of the other comparisons mentioned.

I fucking love this track. I’m happy that Deafheaven took a page out of the Alcest playbook and went full on shoegaze/dream pop.

 

Also noticed this said that it was under exclusive license to SH, I’m guessing they’re owning the masters on this and are giving SH the exclusive rights to distribute it?

 

This is something I didn't even know I needed. Hype levels cannot be contained.

I can actually get the American football references with the vocals

 

I wonder if the whole record is like this (fine with me if it is) or if it's like when Thursday put out "Magnets" as the first single from ND, one of the songs that was the biggest departure, to send a message that this album is gonna be different

man i hate that the deluxe vinyl is a picture disc, even if it is zoetrope

zooming in on the picture disc reveals the album was produced by Justin Meldal-Johnsen. i have high hopes.
