Don't get the hate for Lawn Tennis in these last few comments, but I DO get the love for this new song. This album is shaping up to be extremely solid.
Cool podcast with James talking about his journey and experiences with drinking. Goes into the whole history of the band and there's a lot of interesting there.
Tracing Lines is by far the best of the new songs released. Wish they had released that first instead of Lawn Tennis - although I don't mind it now, I don't know what they were thinking having that as the lead single
Was gonna be dedicating my listening time to Taylor, but since that album blows I’ll give this a go instead. My expectations are low, tbh, but I avoided all by the lead single.
idk lawn tennis rocks really enjoying this - released way too late in the year though lol wouldve been great with warm weather!
Yeah have listened to this a few times through and it's so easy to listen to. Some classic Deaf Havana sounding songs on here too. Dog is my favourite, what a song
I saw them live at Koko in London on Friday - I can confirm that Lawn Tennis sounds so much better live, especially with full band. You call tell they really don't like playing any old songs though.
For me as well, but this new record is amazing too. It did not click right away for me like Rituals but it is a grower for sure.
Finally checking this. Definitely my favourite of theirs since that run of F&WL, Old Souls, and ATCN. Feels like they're inspired again.
All These Countless Nights is their peak and I guess they seem to agree as, this new album aside, it's the one they play the most songs from live from what I'm seeing? I should do a discography run as it's been a while. Their Every Time I Die-y early stuff will probably sound odd to my ears after this lol
Used to love Meet Met Halfway, At Least haha. Not listened to it in a decade plus though. I can imagine it will feel a bit dated.
