It seems from my totally outside perspective (not in the UK) that this album is doing fairly well for them there. I just hope they can get big enough to do even a small US tour in the near future haha

 

A year on and I still think this album is fucking great. There isn't a single song I don't enjoy.

 

Totally with you. These guys are so consistent, really hoping the next album is the one that breaks them in the States.

New album "Rituals" just went up for pre-order on Apple Music/iTunes, with "Sinner" as the lead single. Comes out August 10th.

Really surprised when this showed up on my Release Radar this morning, and even more surprised by the direction they went. But I guess they have to shake things up a little if they're gonna keep this going. I just really loved the big stadium rock sound of the last album. Fantastic that we're getting a new album so soon!

 

At first I wasn't huge on it, but this morning I listened seven times in a row in the car and now I know every word so what I'm trying to say is...

They needed to mix it up a bit, glad they did.

 

I thought their last album was their best but I'm glad that they never repeat themselves.

Damn this is so good. It’s poppy but still feels like Deaf Havana, still has the passion and emotional intensity that made me love them in the first place.

Thoughts anyone? Really getting a concept album vibe here, which would be an interesting first for this band.

 

Growing up a Christian, I'm a sucker for bands that explore grappling with faith.

If Deaf Havana does a whole album of that then I'm so fucking in

 

The article says he's written the album pretty much himself with the help of a producer in a more narrow time frame than ever before. So I guess that can contribute to the cohesiveness of the themes/track names as well.

 

I agree completely. This album already has me really intrigued.

Yeah I think that's a big part of it too! I'm hoping the single is also an indication that it'll be really stylistically diverse.

 

I’ve had “Sinner” stuck in my head literally since it dropped. Honestly one of my favorite songs of the year so far.
