So do we think Deadpool is really going to fuck with the timeline? As much as I am not hating what's happening in the MCU, it would be pretty funny if he just rebooted entire storylines and they moved on from there. If nothing else, it would be great if this is how they excise Majors from the plotline. Just have Deadpool change the timeline and all of a sudden Kang is someone else. That would be pretty dope.
Something to that extent, I’m sure. I don’t think Deadpool arriving in the MCU will be the only permanent change the film ends with.
I’d bet it crosses the mark. If it doesn’t cross 1 billion within 2 months of its release I will not post on this site for the remainder of the year.
It just makes sense. Both franchises made huge bank. It’s the only Marvel movie this year. It brings back beloved characters. It would have to really suck to fail.
i thought that was Biff Wiff in the beginning of the trailer of the b-day party and i got really excited, alas its not :(
This movie should beat Joker’s worldwide record for a rated R film, but idk if it will be able to beat the Passion of the Christ’s record for highest grossing domestic R rated film. That movie still has that record from 2004.
I’m very bearish on superheroes so I think this still misses $1B. it needs to be a cultural phenomenon to hit that number in todays market - which means reach normal everyday people that don’t give a shit about marvel (which marvel used to be able to do on the reg) With this so far looking like an episode of Loki idk if it crosses over unless it’s legit good but I don’t trust Shawn Levy or current Reynolds to make a good movie
So far post-covid we've had No Way Home Top Gun Maverick Avatar 2 Mario Bros Barbie I could see D&W joining that list if the marketing focuses on it being an "event" film swansong for the fox characters and the rest transitioning to the MCU. Let people know its not an ordinary MCU film.
