Saw it, ticket was only $8.50, laughed a bit. Said…oh it’s that guy/girl from that terrible movie. Can’t complain. Just glad movies are coming out that a lot of people want to see bc if another theater closes near me I’m gonna have to drive a long ass way to see a movie. Taking my kids to the movies is awesome and it’s unreal it already takes 45 minutes to get there. Also I remember everyone being like..Darth Maul is playing Toad! It appears Ray Park came back as Toad again for this and I’m here for that.
i wondered if that was him, bc it looks like him, but no one is credited with the performance and i wouldn’t put it past them just creating the performance out of CGI lol
The sound in my screening cut out right when Cassandra said “I can make all the voices go away” and it was such perfect timing that said, movie is dreadful and I wish they hadn’t fixed the sound. good lord what a mess nice to see Wesley Snipes as Blade again though. that one joke landed
Channing Tatum was the funniest and coolest character in this movie. The use of his powers were fucking perfect.
I agree, he was so much fun and I really did wish his Gambit solo film actually happened but I am glad he finally got to play the role on the big screen though.
Lmao even after watching the movie, my fiance still thought Chris Evans was Cap and was confused why everyone kept calling him Johnny
There’s a really good telesync with somewhat decent audio out. So I’ve been rewatching some scenes and it’s still a great time.
if anyone here is bored and out of ideas, my friend and i recorded a review episode on the movie. thanks for checkin it out!!
Finally saw this. Laughed the hardest at the ”The Proposal" joke as well as “Alioth is here? From Loki season one, episode five?” So in terms of his involvement with the MCU going forward, the movie ends with Wade and Logan both back in Wade’s timeline and the vague suggestion that maybe we’ll see some of those other Fox characters again sometime (Secret Wars presumably). Thought it was interesting that this was marketed as Deadpool’s entrance into the MCU when it was mostly just a love letter to the 20th Century Fox era and ends with him still there. So I guess his actual full entrance is yet to come and I…really struggle with the idea of this character interacting with the Avengers and breaking the fourth wall in moments of crisis. I would love it if his voice was written for future projects with better writers and funnier jokes I guess. I dunno. I did like that this time we got to see Logan and Laura enjoying a nice meal together in the end.
If Secret Wars does not legit have that Thor/Deadpool scene in it I'm going to start knocking shit over in the theater
Saw it last night. Liked the intro fight scene and ones between the Deadpool and Wolverine. Dogpool was very cute. I've always loved seeing Hugh in this role, really the glue holding this all together for me. Bummed most of the og side characters were just cameos at the start/end and 'new' characters weren't around long enough for me to care much. Felt Dafne Keen should've had more to do for example. Like 1 in every 10 jokes/bits hit for me. Overall kinda exhausting. A mile wide and an inch deep. Much prefer the first 2.
agreed with everyone that called this a mixed bag, as well as that the height of whatever enjoyment i had will be in the moment like with the last two. also glad i can unmute this thread and finally see what posts of mine josh liked a week or so ago
