If this apology had happened before the movie came out, the post-credit scene 100% would've been Deadpool giving a YouTuber apology about all the cracks at the quality of the MCU post-Endgame
Movie was ok, fun to watch Levy is a hack though - movie could have had much more visual flair than it did
So it's still my intent to go see this Tuesday, but my original goal of going when I'm not on call got torpedoed because the other person on my team bailed yesterday. Apparently he wanted today off, couldn't get it, and decided he would just up and leave instead. So now I'm having to cover two hotels instead of one and I'm on call until we get a replacement. Fucking sucks shit.
I don’t want to be that guy who overthinks a fun thing but, while I enjoyed the experience in the theater, I also walked out kinda bummed by this one. Somehow, it was both very fun but also very disappointing? If that combo is possible, that’s what it was for me.
Actually, question: the Wolverine hunting montage in the beginning. What rubric was he using to find the “right” Wolverine and how was it relayed to the audience whether each Wolverine was fulfilling or not fulfilling that rubric? I was watching closely and all I got was a fun montage started and then he sorta just kept looking for more Wolverines until he met one and said “this is the one!”
Also they played the Venom trailer twice in a row in my theater and as no one stood up and said “THEY ALREADY PLAYED THIS” (or made any sound at all) I will never have closure on that moment in my life.
I kept waiting for them to reveal that his 4th-wall breaking was either specific to his timeline or a trauma-induced delusion and we’d see moments outside of the Deadpool meta view. And that the stakes would be underlined by having sequences where Deadpool was without his 4th-wall breaking gag and had to really figure out what/who he is and then save his universe via a new nobler and even more vulgar mastery of his 4th-wall breaking. But that didn’t happen. The director and writers just decided to make some scenes silly scenes and some weighty scenes as needed.
How dare you tag me into this thread to accuse me of using Facebook. (Also, yeah, I’d love to see the Venom trailer twice. I’ll almost certainly be seeing Last Dance before I see this movie.)
I’m sorry, I didn’t know what the best choice for a group was! Is it the discords people are using these days?
