Saw this in 3D by accident as I didn't pay attention when getting the ticket. The 3D was actually pretty cool especially during the opening credits and one of the better 3D experiences in a minute. Overall, I thought this was pretty hilarious and got way more laughs out of me than expected - only complaint was it felt too long. The plot was okay. With the new MCU casting news, I can't keep up with multiverse, and what's cannon from what franchise - all I know is that I had a good time with this. I'm assuming that the 8 / 10 impact one of the Marvel people said that this would have will be revealed with how future stuff ties into it, as it felt pretty standalone to me like everything else in this phase. Unless I just missed a ton of stuff, it didn't really feel like it had a ton of reveals or impact yet.
This was fun, I wasn’t expecting high art or a comedy though. It’s the definition of a summer popcorn flick, turn your brain off and enjoy. Blade returning had me gooped.
I came across a few spoilers before watching tonight, and I'm really glad I didn't know that Chris Evans would be in it at all and on top of that, the Johnny Storm twist really got me.
This was fine but almost certainly the worst of the 3 Deadpool movies. The jokes were pretty hit or miss and I didn't find the story all that engaging. Emma Corrin gave a really fun performance as Cassandra, though Oh and PLEASE bring Keen back as Laura for the MCU. Doesn't have to be the version from Logan (I'd prefer if it wasn't tbh), she's just great in the role and deserves a real shot at it
Harry Lou Retten and gubernatorial were two legit funny moments in this. Still chuckling about those.
People are like move on it's over meanwhile this is the largest R rated movie of all time and 8th biggest overall. Some of you simply do not live in the same reality as the rest of us. In what world does a movie make that kind of money and they decide "oh let's wrap up the whole thing there's nothing to be done here." If you were an exec at Marvel they'd fire you on the spot.
Who is even saying to move on? It’s been mostly normal discussion in here (surprising) and the most recent posts were a succession joke (so money) and jokes a specific user liked. yes I would get fired as a marvel exec tho
