I don’t disagree that it wasn’t as fun but the show has always been about grief, I’m not surprised things got a little heavier this season

 

That’s true. I guess I just wanted a different ending for Judy.

 

This was a great show and this season had some really fantastic moments but fuck, honestly pretty wild turn to go into that hard. Gonna have to give it some more thought, not totally sure how I feel about it overall.

 

Top three saddest character deaths I've ever seen. Judy was an amazing person that was just absolutely shit on by life (terrible childhood, abusive relationship, inability to get pregnant) and finally found happiness but then dying of terminal cancer less than a year later made me feel legitimately depressed in a way that I rarely feel from shows/movies. It weirdly reminded me most of Aerith lol
This is definitely not the direction I really wanted this to go but it was still masterfully acted by both leads. I would have literally never been able to tell Christina Applegate was having so many health problems if I didn't already know when I was watching it, and Linda Cardellini continues to be the most underrated actress working today. She is so amazing in this role and I hope she gets more leading roles now.

I need to watch something happy now, fuck

 

Randomly threw on a show called Am I Being Unreasonable, it reminds me a lot of this. It’s a Hulu original, first season is only six episodes and it seems to have been confirmed for a second? Definitely worth checking out if you’re into Dead To Me
